Waterlogged Areas, Train Delays
Overnight torrential rain in Mumbai has led to widespread waterlogging in low-lying areas, particularly in the Bhiwandi area of the Thane district. The heavy downpour has also caused disruptions to suburban train services, leading to inconvenience for commuters.
IMD Issues Red and Orange Alerts
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for the districts of Thane, Palghar, and Raigad, warning of extremely heavy rainfall expected on Friday. Additionally, an orange alert has been issued for Mumbai, indicating the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall.
