Justin Timberlake Pleads Guilty to Impaired Driving

Singer Ordered to Pay $500 Fine, Make Public Service Announcement

Justin Timberlake has pleaded guilty to driving while impaired in Memphis, Tennessee. The singer was arrested in March after police found him driving erratically and smelling of alcohol.

Timberlake entered a guilty plea in court on Wednesday and was ordered to pay a $500 fine and complete a public service announcement about the dangers of drunk driving.

"I take full responsibility for my actions and I am deeply sorry for the inconvenience I caused," Timberlake said in a statement after the hearing. "I have learned my lesson and I will never drink and drive again."

The arrest and charges

Timberlake was arrested on March 31 after police pulled him over for driving erratically on a Memphis street.

According to the police report, Timberlake had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and smelled of alcohol.

Timberlake was taken to jail and charged with driving while impaired and refusing to submit to a blood alcohol test.

The plea agreement

Timberlake's attorneys negotiated a plea agreement with prosecutors that resulted in the singer pleading guilty to a reduced charge of driving while impaired.

Under the terms of the plea agreement, Timberlake was ordered to pay a $500 fine and complete a public service announcement about the dangers of drunk driving.

Timberlake is scheduled to appear in court again on July 10 for a review hearing.

The public service announcement

As part of his plea agreement, Timberlake is required to complete a public service announcement about the dangers of drunk driving.

The announcement will be aired on local television stations and will also be posted on Timberlake's social media accounts.

Timberlake said in a statement that he hopes the announcement will help to raise awareness about the dangers of drunk driving and prevent others from making the same mistake he did.
