Chelsea Win First League Match in Six

Ending a Losing Streak

Chelsea have ended their losing streak under interim manager Frank Lampard by beating Bournemouth 2-0. The Blues, who had not won in the league since March 11, were in desperate need of a victory to boost their morale and their chances of finishing in the top four.

Match Highlights

Bournemouth had the better of the chances in the first half, but Chelsea took the lead against the run of play when Willian scored from the penalty spot in the 25th minute. The Brazilian was brought down in the area by Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake, and the referee had no hesitation in pointing to the spot.

Chelsea doubled their lead in the 54th minute when Ross Barkley scored a stunning goal. The English midfielder picked up the ball on the edge of the area and unleashed a powerful shot that flew into the top corner of the net.

Bournemouth pushed for a goal in the closing stages, but Chelsea held on for a much-needed victory. The Blues now move up to fourth place in the Premier League, and they will be hoping to continue their good form when they face Manchester United in their next match.
